Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Old School Kreativz (Pty) Ltd (“Bollr”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use Bollr (the “Service”). We collect only what we need to run the Service and never sell your data.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and authentication details, managed by our identity provider (Clerk).
- Usage data — the fixtures you view, slips you verify, and features you use, so we can provide and improve the Service.
- Billing data — subscription status. Card details are handled directly by our payment processors (Paystack on web; the Apple App Store or Google Play via RevenueCat on mobile); we do not store your card numbers.
- Slip photos — if you use the slip-scan feature, the photo you upload is sent to Google’s Gemini API (Google’s generative-AI service) so it can read the slip and extract the selections printed on it (teams, markets, and lines) into a structured slip for you to review. A slip photo may show your stake, bookmaker branding, or a betslip barcode, so only upload slips you’re comfortable sharing.
- Device & analytics data — basic diagnostics, including crash and error reports sent to our error-monitoring provider (Sentry), and product analytics to understand performance and fix issues.
2. How we use it
- To provide fixture statistics and slip verification.
- To manage your account, subscription and entitlements.
- To improve reliability, performance and features.
- To communicate service updates and respond to support requests.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate Bollr — for example authentication (Clerk), payments (Paystack / RevenueCat / app stores), slip-photo parsing (Google’s Gemini API, only for photos you submit through the slip-scan feature), crash and error reporting (Sentry), hosting and infrastructure, and product analytics — and only as needed to deliver the Service, or where required by law.
4. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
5. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can delete your account from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing support@bollrapp.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as South Africa’s POPIA.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit access to it.
7. Children
Bollr is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
